On 6th May Plug 'n' Play will be treated to music by Lynn Goulbourne & Steve Hicks.

If you fancy playing the open mic session at Plug 'n' Play make sure to turn up early to reserve a slot. You will also receive a £1 off the door price if you play. Please note it will be a short open mic session.

Doors open at 7.30, it's £5 to get in. Bring a friend or two. It's Penriths longest standing music event and it's still the best.

Steve Hicks is a fingerstyle guitarist with a varied repertoire and a broad
interest in music.
Born in South Ockendon, Essex, UK in 1956, Steve developed a serious interest in guitar in his late teens from the influence of John Renbourn and Davy Graham and the many great fingerpickers on the Kicking Mule record label.

Steve has developed his art over the years and is now becoming highly regarded, especially for his skills in arranging and transcribing for the guitar. He performs regularly, both solo and in partnership with the outstanding vocalist Lynn Goulbourn. Steve Hicks is an Acoustic Music Records recording artist and a qualified luthier, performing and recording on guitars he has personally constructed. Steve's latest solo CD recording is called 'The Rag Trade'. It is a collection of beautifully handled arrangements of classic rags, blues and jazz standards.
